IFFO’s China Webinar to focus on product integrity and sustainability of the marine ingredients supply chain

IFFO - The Marine Ingredients Organisation will jointly hold a free China Technical Webinar on 2 December 2020 with MarinTrust*, the leading independent business to business certification programme for the marine ingredient value chain. It will consist of three online sessions in both English and Chinese, starting at 3pm Beijing time.

The webinar will feature a panel discussion on integrity and sustainability of the marine ingredients supply chain, as well as presentations from leading scientists and representatives of both the fishmeal and the aquaculture industry, covering market trends, technical and regulatory updates and benefits that certification programmes bring to the value chain.

Maggie Xu, Director of IFFO China, explains: “Safety and sustainability are at the heart of the global food system. With fishmeal and fish oil supplying essential nutrition in feed used for aquaculture as well as pork and chicken production globally, the marine ingredients industry has a strong foundation in implementing the process and the tools that ensure product integrity. Certification is critical to provide assurance that products are traced back to their origins”.

The full agenda can be accessed here. This webinar is free of charge and available to the public. Delegates will need to register here, the deadline of which is Monday 30 November, Beijing time.

The webinar will take place in Chinese mandarin via the Zoom platform and simultaneous interpretation between Chinese and English languages will be provided.
