Neil Auchterlonie attended the International symposium on Aquatic Animal Health (https://isaah2018.com/) today, where he presented on the importance of marine ingredients in relation to the health of farmed salmon. Neil’s presentation can be accessed here (Members only). The symposium had approximately 400 fish health professionals and researchers from around the world in attendance. Neil’s presentation was provided at the workshop on the QASH (Quantitative Atlantic Salmon Health) project (see https://qash.w.uib.no/) which aims to develop tools to assess farmed salmon health and robustness. Exploring the link between marine ingredients, aquafeed nutrition, and these factors is crucial in the continuing sustainable intensification of salmon farming.
