The IFFO China office organised and held a workshop in Changsha on the 19th April. This workshop was designed to raise awareness of supply chain integrity issues in China, with a view towards addressing where improvements may be made over time to the benefit of improving the security of quality fishmeal supply. Maggie Xu chaired the event, with Neil Auchterlonie also in attendance providing an overview of IFFO’s work, supply and demand, and fishmeal quality. Several excellent presentations from eminent Chinese scientists were very well received by the audience, and the session concluded with an interesting Q&A session. A summary of the event will be provided for the next edition of Update, so members will be able to review the workshop in much more detail.
