Are all protein sources equal?

IFFO has interviewed Prof. Gen He from The Ocean University of China about protein sources. Are they all equal?

Gen He received his Ph.D from University of Illinois at Chicago in 2004 and is an expert in the field of fish nutrition. He then worked as a postdoc in the laboratory of Nobel Prize winner Dr. Paul Greengard´s lab in the Rockefeller University. From 2010, he has been a professor in the Ocean University of China. His research focus is on the protein metabolism of fish and better utilization of dietary proteins in aquafeeds. He has been the chief scientist for projects including National Key R&D program, Special Fund for Agro-scientific Research in the Public Interest etc. He has authored over 50 research papers and holds 7 patents.
